Brian Tracy – “Teamwork is so important that it is virtually impossible for you to reach the heights of your capabilities or make the money that you want without becoming very good at it”
Firstly, apologies, I didn’t write a blog at all last week! Anyway, on with the show.
I like to think I always arrive in on Monday morning refreshed, cheery and looking forward to the working day. Why? Seriously, why? This is what I’m asked by a select few of my friends. So what makes my job enjoyable?
I’ve come to realise it’s a couple of things; success and environment. On the top floor of the Salt office, somewhere toward the back and not too far away from the pool table, is a pod of 4 blokes who are just the best people ever in the world ever (I’m one of them). But on a serious note, it is these 3 guys that make my environment enjoyable.
But it is also these guys who contribute to my SUCCESS. We specialise in very similar markets, so think of us as 4 circles all crossing over. This means that we can feed each other new vacancies and candidates. In fact, some of us have even made placements by being given a vacancy and the candidate! In this dream team we have:
- Jasper Paterson – Python (www.linkedin.com/in/pythonrecruitment)
- Andy Ross – SQL Server (www.linkedin.com/in/sqlserver1)
- Mark Stevenson – Insight and Analytics (www.linkedin.com/in/dataanalytics)
- Joe Burridge – Data Science, Big Data and BI (www.linkedin.com/in/joeburridge)
Unlike other Recruitment companies who heavily promote selfishness and possession, we are seeing clearly the value of an holistic workforce.

Hello Mr. Burridge, I read all of your blog posts and it gave me so much great information about big data, the importance of data analytic, job, and many more.
But I don’t know why you put a very large picture in every post (well, mostly) and a dark background color. For me, it just makes your blog is less attractive.
I see a lot of interesting articles on your website.
